A pair of omnidirectional electret condenser microphones from SONY. They naturally capture direct and indirect sound from the space, even at ultra-high frequencies. They're also suitable for high-resolution recording. The chassis is made of high-density zinc die-cast for vibration isolation and damping, reducing muddy sound caused by unwanted resonance. They also feature a low-cut filter and pad switch.

Features
This omnidirectional electret condenser microphone features a newly developed wide-bandwidth recording microphone capsule, making it suitable for high-resolution recording.
The newly developed microphone capsule features a thin, lightweight diaphragm and reduced acoustic impedance on the back electrode plate, enabling highly accurate sound capture up to 50 kHz. High-strength, highly insulating polyetherimide (PEI) is used as the insulating structural material, machined with high-precision resin. The capsule case and back electrode are made of brass, machined with high-precision precision. High-precision assembly ensures high-precision sound capture with minimal distortion. Furthermore, the diaphragm is vapor-deposited with 24-karat gold for high-purity sound quality. The ECM-100N achieves a flat frequency response up to 50 kHz, enabling it to capture sound resonating throughout the space without coloration.

The chassis is made of high-density zinc die-cast to ensure vibration-resistance and damping. The microphone housing is made of machined brass, and the combined structure of dissimilar metals eliminates muddy sound caused by unwanted resonance.
