The FOCUSRITE/ISA 828 MkII is a flagship 8-channel ISA microphone preamplifier with Lundahl input transformers and new digital output options.

ISA 828 MKII is the second generation model of ISA 828 that inherits the design of the original ISA 110 module.
While retaining the transformer, high-quality mic pre specifications, and variable impedance settings that reproduce the texture of ISA 110, new improvements have been made such as more efficient power consumption, less heat generation, and a more reliable power supply.
The ADN8 option card supports connection to ADAT, AES3, and Dante. The ISA mic pre can be used directly on the Dante network.

The ISA 828 MkII inherits the mic preamp design from the original ISA 110 module in the Focusrite Studio Console. All inputs use Lundahl LL1538 transformers, and each channel has a mic or line input, with front-panel instrument inputs on inputs 1-4. Each mic pre has variable input impedance, providing sonic options including an ""ISA 110"" setting that recreates the original impedance of the Focusrite mic pre.

The ISA 828 MkII offers a wide gain range of up to 80dB with 60dB of gain and +20dB of continuously variable trim. The high-pass filter has a variable cutoff frequency of 16-420Hz. Each channel, calibratable with a high-pass filter, features a six-segment LED meter and switchable insert points on the rear panel, allowing you to use external devices such as compressors and EQs as in-line processors.

The ISA 828 MkII's mic/line level inputs feature dedicated connectors, allowing you to connect all sources simultaneously and permanently mount the unit in a rack. One of the new features of the ISA 828 MkII is a more reliable power supply with more efficient power consumption and less heat generation. Additionally, the optional ISA ADN8 A/D expansion card provides 8 channels of Dante, ADAT and AES3 output at rates up to 24bit/192kHz.
