The Superstar Classic is an all-maple shell drum set. The thinly molded maple shell responds sensitively to any tuning, producing a pleasant sound projection and a bright, clear sound. The hoops are made of outwardly curved steel, further enhancing the open, relaxed sound of the maple. The depth of the toms is slightly shallow, making it easy to add expression to fill-ins and allowing for a wide range of height settings when mounted on the bass drum. ■Drum set
