This harmonica microphone is a collaboration between HOHNER and sE Electronics.
Modeled after the sound of legendary vintage harp microphones, it reflects inspiration from professional players.
It delivers the best possible resonance and expressiveness with a comfortable hold. In addition to superior sound quality, it also offers thoughtful ease of use and exceptional durability.
It's no secret that many current harmonica microphones are perceived as lacking in many ways compared to their vintage counterparts. The challenge was set to change that.
In shaping the sound of the Harp Blaster HB52, the development team didn't study competing products, but instead drew inspiration from a select group of professional players—the goal was to create an exceptional microphone that perfectly met their demands, combining maximum ease of use and durability.
After all, when a microphone seamlessly enhances the artist's emotional output, music is unconstrained, allowing for maximum resonance and expression. HOHNER and sE collaborated to pursue this ideal, resulting in a cutting-edge product that satisfies even the most demanding harmonica players.
Combining sE's dynamic capsule and acoustic design experience with HOHNER's unparalleled harmonica expertise of over 160 years, the Harp Blaster HB52 meets the high expectations of musicians and demanding sound engineers.
The perfect size that fits comfortably in the palm of your hand, the easy-to-cup grille design, and the highly responsive capsule closely respond to the player's hand technique and musical expression, allowing you to enjoy playing comfortably even for long periods of time.
The high output level/high impedance specification means you can drive your amplifier appropriately without the need for an impedance converter, boost pedal, or stomp box.
The Harp Blaster HB52 also features a volume control consisting of a trusted Bourns? potentiometer and a chrome knob with a non-slip diamond cutout.
In terms of connections, we've chosen an XLR terminal rather than an attach cable, 1/4-inch jack, or screw connector, which are often considered the ""Achilles' heel"" of harmonica microphones. If the microphone itself is already connected to a cable, stress on the solder joints can lead to failure, but an XLR terminal eliminates the unnecessary noise and hassle of screw-type connectors and 1/4-inch jacks, and its locking mechanism increases reliability even if the cable is pulled.
