The newly developed microphone capsule achieves high-fidelity sound capture up to 50kHz by reducing the thickness and weight of the diaphragm and the acoustic impedance of the back electrode plate. In addition, polyetherimide (PEI), which has high strength and high insulation properties, is used as an insulating structural material after being subjected to high-precision resin cutting processing. The capsule case and back electrode are made of brass cut with high precision. High-precision assembly processing achieves high-precision sound capture with little distortion. Furthermore, by using a diaphragm vapor-deposited with 24K gold, high-purity sound quality is achieved. The ECM-100N achieves a frequency characteristic that extends flatly up to 50kHz. It is possible to capture sounds resonating in a space without coloring them.
