This plugin allows you to process a variety of vocal tracks, indispensable in the current music scene, including Frank Ocean, James Blake, and Bon Iver, with Waves' guaranteed sound quality. Until now, complex vocal processing such as morphing, harmonizing, and vocoding, which were previously done by combining multiple plugins and processors, can be done in one stop, and with this simple operability that can be said to be Waves' specialty.

Powered by Waves' exclusive Organic ReSynthesis? (ORS) technology, OVox delivers vocal synthesis with unparalleled sound quality.

ORS breaks down the original signal into its ""core DNA"" elements: amplitude, pitch, and formants. These elements are then resynthesized to produce a new vocal sound that preserves the original vocal expression and is free of unnecessary artifacts.

OVox works right out of the box. No complex routing required. Run it as an insert plug-in or standalone. Any melody, line, or beatbox you have in mind will be magically transformed into a sound. MIDI control is also an option. OVox allows you to use any instrument, such as a keyboard, MIDI controller, or guitar, as a ""carrier"" voice. You can also use OVox's Automatic Note Mapper feature to automatically trigger chords, harmonies, and scales with your own voice or a recorded vocal track.

Control MIDI with your voice
OVox's MIDI output function allows you to play any software instrument (even Waves or other manufacturers) in real time with your voice. OVox converts the melody you sing or hum into MID information and sends MIDI signals to other instruments. You can also use the Note Mapper feature to quantize MIDI signals to any scale, and easily generate hundreds of chord progressions. You can send the audio signal of other instruments to OVox as a carrier voice, and use OVox's formant filter to modulate other instruments.

OVox comes with hundreds of great presets to use as a starting point. The Main View shows some of the most important controllers for quick adjustments.

If you want to dig deeper into OVox, open the Expanded View. More detailed Formant Filter adjustments, 9 LFOs, ADSR, an ORS modulator that can modulate any control in the plugin, and colorful built-in FX expand the possibilities of vocal morphing.
