Organteq is a pipe organ with physical modeling that is compatible with Windows/Mac, and works as a standalone or 64-bit instrument plug-in for VST/AudioUnit hosts.
Since it does not use samples, the file size is very small compared to other virtual organs, making it ideal for use on laptops.
The sound is generated from scratch in real time, faithfully reproducing the pipe attack transient ""chiff sound"" unique to pipe organs and the three-dimensional depth of the pipes arranged according to the position of the keys. Even the action noises of keys, stops, couplers, etc. are modeled. These features give the instrument a more live feel than similar sample-based virtual instruments, and the realism of the attack and sustain is unmatched.
Organteq Features
Organteq was inspired by Cavaillé-Coll's pipe organ, and analyzed the three manuals, five octaves, and the 32-note pedal keyboard. The number of pipes analyzed reached 1,000. For each key, the stops (the mechanism equivalent to the ""drawbars"" in the Hammond organ) can be freely assigned to parameters.
Organteq uses physical modeling, and has the following advantages over sample-based virtual instruments.
・Quick installation and loading of sounds even on a laptop machine
・File size is 15MB (mega!), so it takes up almost no space on your HDD/SSD
Excellent operability, you can play as if you were touching a real pipe organ
Reproduces the organic response of real attack and sustain, and is as clear as if you were actually playing a pipe organ
Organteq supports MIDI learn function and MIDI mapping. You can freely control it with your own MIDI keyboard. The pipe organ is a very complex instrument in itself. We put a lot of effort into creating an interface that is familiar even to non-pipe organists.
The reverb module can be freely adjusted from a completely dry, anechoic space to a wet sound in a large hall.
Organteq Technology
Modartt, the creators of the award-winning physical modeling piano sound source Pianoteq, spent three years developing the first virtual organ instrument that reproduces the ""heart"" of the complex flute and reed pipes. It also faithfully reproduces the air vibrations that occur in the pipes and the nonlinear feedback loop that occurs between the ""exciter"" (the air jet that vibrates the flute and reed pipes). We have created a ""living instrument"" that is more realistic than any ""cutting-edge"" product in the world.
