Version 10 of DP includes dozens of exciting new elements that meet the needs of DP users, such as the Clip Window and new audio stretching functions, as well as the addition of over 100 sound sources.

■Clip Window for Triggering Loops/Phrases
The new Clips Window adds loop trigger functionality to Digital Performer. You can now drag and drop audio or MIDI from the content browser, also newly installed in DP 10, into the Clip Window to trigger clips in real time. This will help you use it in live performances and inspire your music production. Trigger individual clips, any clip across multiple tracks, or even entire rows (scene clips across all tracks).

DP's unique clip cueing allows you to stack clip sequences in advance, eliminating the need to trigger them manually. Add or remove clips instantly when inspiration strikes while working with a laptop or MIDI controller. The Clip Window allows clip triggering in addition to traditional linear track-based playback, and supports stage operation and live mixing. DP is the foundation for the best live performance. DP is now not only a creative production tool, but also a true professional DAW that supports live performance and encompasses diversified needs.

■Stretch Audio
From deep edits on individual beats to global tempo changes, Stretch Audio makes it faster and easier to work with. Select individual audio beats and adjust the timing. Use the new Stretch Edit layer to manipulate anchor points and achieve the rhythmic timing you imagined exactly. For global tempo control, simply enable Stretch mode and your entire audio track will instantly conform to the tempo and timeline, even with tempo changes.

■Ultimate control over tempo and beats
DP 10's magical Beat Detection finds rhythmic audio beats in individual loops, multi-channel stems, and fully mixed audio. Once beats are detected, use DP's new Stretch Audio feature and DP's industry-leading tempo change features to instantly match your audio to your project's tempo and timeline. Specify tempo changes with automation and drop your loop into the Clip window. It's perfectly timed and in tempo with your project.

■Instant access to all your files
The Content Browser gives you instant access to all the resources you use in DP, including virtual instruments, loops, clips, and plug-ins. Whatever you need, it's just a drag-and-drop away. Quickly find material by name or text string and use the Content Browser to accelerate legacy workflows by 10x.

■Edit audio waveforms with clarity and precision
Digital Performer's waveform editor has all the tools you need for audio editing, including precise beat editing, flexible audio stretching, pitch correction, tempo mapping, and more. First, select the editing layer and navigate to the section you need. Menus and tools will appear. The new waveform editor brings visual precision and clarity to engineering, making it a tool to extract the information you need. It also has zoom shortcuts for easy access to more detailed information.

■Launch your favorite VST 3 plug-ins
Digital Performer 10 supports VST 3 plug-ins and virtual instruments. It also supports VST 1 and VST 2 plug-ins as before.

■Hundreds of virtual instruments and loops included
DP 10 includes 5GB of acoustic and electric drum kits, pianos, guitars and basses, as well as church organs, electric organs, strings, woodwinds and brass, synthesizers, ethnic instruments, voice samples, choruses, percussion, and sound effects (SEs), and comes with a sandbank consisting of over 300 instruments, 1,100 sounds and 500 loops. This diverse collection can be used across a variety of musical genres, eras, geographic regions, and cultural styles.
