This microphone features the high-quality MMC4017 cartridge from the 4000 series, renowned for its sound quality, and the MMP-C preamplifier, which is compact yet boasts excellent acoustic performance. Its extremely tight directional characteristics ensure clear pickup of the target sound. Its well-balanced sound quality with a wide dynamic range makes it suitable for picking up not only voices but also acoustic instruments.

The 4017C is a compact and lightweight shotgun microphone, measuring 19mm in diameter, 154mm in length, and weighing just 70g. It fits comfortably in tight spaces such as offices or rooms with low ceilings, and is also ideal for long-duration recordings when attached to a handheld boom microphone or video camera. It can be used for a wide range of purposes, from studio recording to location and outdoor live recording.
