■Applications:

- The TPR1A module is a single pair audio receiver module compatible with RDL Format-A twisted pair products. These modules can be mounted in wall boxes, cabinets and enclosures for connecting external devices. The D- and DS- models can be mounted in the RDL WB-1U and RDL WB-2U wall boxes or in a standard US electrical box. The D-TPR1A features a white front panel with grey lettering to match RDL Decora™ style remote control devices. The DS-TPR1A is available in stainless steel to match RDL Decora™ style stainless steel remote control devices for commercial and industrial installations. The AF-TPR1A is an APPFLEX™ series product that fits a variety of APPFLEX wall mount, cabinet mount, and tabletop enclosures. The EM-TPR1A is a 45mm square module that can be mounted in European Modular mounting frames and cover plates. European electrical boxes do not have enough depth to accommodate RJ45 jacks and plugs, so the EM-products use Euro-style terminal blocks to connect the twisted pair cables.

APPLICATION:- The TPR1A has an XLR output jack. A rear panel switch is set during installation to determine which Format-A pair is buffered to feed the module output. The audio signal received from the selected pair of RJ45 INPUT terminals is fed to the XLR audio output jack. The output level of the XLR jack is set during installation to either MIC or LINE levels using a rear panel switch.

This module drives only one cable pair. Therefore the D-, DS- and AF-modules have a spare RJ-45 jack for an additional receiving module. The installer can simply connect the copper wires of the two cables in parallel to the terminal block of the EM-model. Two other receivers may be chained to the spare RJ45 connector, or one two-pair receiver may be connected. In addition to fully accepting signals on all three Format-A pairs, additional receivers may be connected to the same twisted pair feed.

The bridge input circuitry used on all Format-A twisted pair receivers allows up to ten receiver outputs to be connected to each cable pair. The multiple receiver location possibilities give immense flexibility in designing audio routing systems using RDL Format-A products. Power pairs and all three audio pairs are supplied through both RJ45 jacks.

The -TPR1A is powered directly from a 24Vdc power supply using a Euro-type terminal block. The local power connected to the module is supplied to all connected remote modules. It is also possible to power the -TPR1A remotely from any other module, signal distributor, and RDL power inserter connected by the same twisted pair cable. A front panel LED indicates power on.
