※What is Indian redwood?
Produced in India, it is the highest quality material for necks. It is a wood that is so hard and heavy that it sinks in water. When it is freshly made, it is red, but gradually turns black.
It is very difficult to craft, but the finished product has a good luster, is heavy and elegant, and there is currently no better material for a shamisen.
