※What is African rosewood?
Indian rosewood, which has been used since ancient times, is now in short supply and there is little material to use for Tsugaru shamisen in particular, so this is a wood from Africa that has a similar quality to Indian rosewood. It is a hard wood like Indian rosewood, so it is suitable for shamisen.
