The Radikal Technologies RT-1701 is a high-quality dual digital effects unit for Eurorack modular synths.

It consists of two FX processors, each with eight algorithms, and three effects located pre- (input) and post- (output).

The eight algorithms include delay, vintage delay, chorus, phaser, flanger, rotary speaker, pitch shifter, and string filter. The pre-effects include overdrive with input gain adjustment, while the post-effects include EQ/multimode filter and reverb. Delay time and modulation rate can be adjusted by tapping the tap button four times. The memory function allows you to save and recall up to eight snapshots of all edited effect parameters, allowing you to play back edited effects at any time. The morphing function also allows you to smoothly or rapidly change these snapshots from 1 to 2 to 3... using the built-in LFO or CV, creating dynamic changes to your sound.

The post-effect multi-mode filter consists of low-pass, band-pass, and high-pass filters, and its frequency can be varied with voltage control, changing the overall sound character of the RT-1701. The string filter uses the Karplus-Strong algorithm (physical modeling of bowed string instruments such as violins), and its frequency can be controlled with 1V/octave voltage from a keyboard or other source to play as a Karplus Strong oscillator.
