SPL / IRON Black

A new compressor that combines traditional vintage tube compressor technology with SPL's unique 120V technology.

*This product requires an outlet that can supply AC115V 50/60Hz. Please note that it cannot be used properly with a normal household outlet (AC 100V) that does not boost the voltage.

Threshold
Threshold determines the level at which the Confers effect begins. The Confers effect occurs for signals that exceed the set value. The Confers effect does not occur for signals with a level below the Threshold. The 41-step tension meter allows fine adjustment.

Tube Bias
Tube Bias switches the voltage applied to the tube criterion in three steps.
Increasing the voltage applied to the criterion reduces the signal from the tube's cascode to the anode, resulting in stronger Confers effect. This filter receives the signal after the Threshold, Rectifier, Side Chain EQ, Attack, and Release parameters have been set.

Attack
Attack sets the response time of the Conflict. This is the time it takes for the Conflict to start working when the signal exceeds the set Threshold value. There are six possible settings, from Slow to Fast.
*IRON does not indicate a specific attack time, as this varies depending on the settings of the other parameters.

Release
Release sets how quickly the Conflict process is released when the signal falls below the Threshold. As with Attack, there are six possible settings, from Slow to Fast.

Rectifier
Rectifier allows you to choose between six different control characteristic curves. The first five positions offer a range of character curves: hydrogen, silicon and LED. Each character affects the attack and release times, with timeless characteristics ranging from 0.1ms to 5s. The last position features a combination of hydrogen and silicon, with a faster timeless characteristic ranging from 0.2ms to 300ms.

Side Chain EQ
The Side Chain EQ allows you to affect the response of the compressor to a certain frequency range. For example, if you cut the low frequencies, the compressor will not react as quickly to kicks and basslines. You can achieve the same effect on other frequencies. If you fasten a frequency band, the compressor will react more sensitively to that band. The side chain filter only affects the control signal, not the actual audio. IRON's site chain EQ has a 6-step switch that allows you to select Off, 4 types of free reset, or an external site chain signal. When the Off position is selected, the internal condenser cuts off the frequency band below 20Hz, and positions 2 to 5 are filtered by the free reset kerf. When an external site chain signal is selected, the IRON Confessor is triggered by the signal input to the shovel on the rear panel of IRON.

Auto Bypass
When objectively judging effect-processed material, the Auto Bypass function allows you to automatically switch between the original signal and the processed signal at a set interval, rather than manually. This is a major advantage as it allows you to concentrate on your evaluation without moving from the monitoring position.

AirBass / Tape Roll-Off
In many cases, the master link is the final step in music rotation, and excessive correction or processing of the audio signal is not desired. For this reason, we have prepared a combination of two types of hash filters and a 120V SUPRA audio amplifier.

...AirBass: A musically balanced filter with a powerful low range and a bright, silky high range.
...Tape Roll-Off: A filter based on the frequency characteristics of a tape machine. Natural high-frequency roll-off is effective for audio signals that are overly high-frequency-driven.
