Mutable Instruments / Kinks

Mutable Instruments Kinks is a utility module that combines three useful analog utility functions.

Sine Section
This section consists of a high-precision signal inverter and half/full wave reflector (rectifier). It can clip the input signal at 0V or invert the phase of negative voltages in the signal. These functions can be used to create new LFO waveforms, add harmonics to the input audio signal, or modify melody lines using CV. The monitoring LEDs allow you to check the magnitude and phase of the current input signal.

Logic Section
This section outputs the maximum voltage MAX (OR) and the minimum voltage MIN (AND) of the two input signals. The monitoring LEDs allow you to check the magnitude and phase of the current input signal.

Sample & Hold, Noise Section
Each time a trigger is applied to the TRIG input, the output holds (samples) the voltage input to IN and outputs it. When the next trigger is input to IN, the held voltage is updated and output. The generated white noise is internally connected to IN, but NOISE OUT can be used as an audio output independent of the sample and hold. The monitoring LED allows you to check the magnitude and phase of the currently input signal.
