XO allows for smooth and seamless sample exploration, regardless of where your samples are stored. Even if your sound library is located on multiple drives, external storage, or has different filenames, XO will sort all of your samples. XO also seamlessly integrates with samples and libraries from cloud-based sampling services like Splice, Noiiz, Beatport, Looperman, and Loopmasters.

The interface is designed for both playfulness and workflow. Quickly build and edit beats using XO's playful and intuitive sequencer.

Add accents to your beats with the Accentuator, and create diverse grooves with Groove templates. Use the Nudge function to add natural variance and rhythmic feel to your patterns. Use XO's built-in effects, including reverb, delay, pitch, filter, distortion, and tone, to add character to your beats. Along with these features, XO includes a vast selection of over 8,000 curated factory samples and inspiring presets for your music creations.

Access XO's Playground area to instantly explore limitless variations of beats and sounds. The Playground is an endless source of ""happy accidents,"" allowing beatmakers to quickly unleash new angles and inspiration, sparking creativity. In addition to manipulating the step sequencer, click the Random button to inject new and exciting elements into your patterns. Search for the perfect snare, the right-sounding kick, the desired hat, the ultimate cymbal—find your dream sound.

XO's many built-in search filters help you find what you're looking for faster. XO's powerful Live Filter mode surfaces XO's powerful samples, allowing you to customize its scope. For example, enter ""808,"" ""Trap,"" or ""HipHop"" and randomize only samples that match that criteria.
