AURORA(n) is a next-generation mastering-grade AD/DA converter/audio interface designed for superior sound quality and functionality, offering a wide range of inputs and outputs and connection formats. Lynx Studio Technology's renowned transparent sound has led their converters to be adopted by leading recording facilities and a variety of audio applications around the world.

■Description:
The LT-HD2 card leverages the SychroLock 2 clock and the AURORA(n)'s FPGA resources to provide superior stability in Pro Tools | HD environments compared to previous LT-HD cards. This dedicated LSlot interface for the AURORA(n) emulates the characteristics of Avid HD I/O converters, enabling seamless integration and operation with Avid systems, including HDX and HD Native. (The LT-HD2 is not compatible with the older AURORA (silver model) or HILO.)

An AURORA(n) equipped with the LT-HD2 connects to HDX and HD Native via a DigiLink Mini cable and is recognized as an Avid HD I/O. All input/output functions, clocking, routing, and other settings become controllable from Pro Tools. Pro Tools' precise delay compensation provides signal latency similar to that of Avid converters.

The LT-HD2 features one primary and one expansion DigiLink Mini port. Even at higher sample rates, the channel count is not halved, supporting the full channel count at sample rates up to 192 kHz. Lynx's proprietary SynchroLock 2 clocking technology delivers an ultra-low jitter and distortion digital signal.

■Features:
The AURORA(n) features an independently shielded analog signal path for each channel, even within a single rack space. This design delivers numerous audio advantages, including improved dynamic range and performance while significantly reducing crosstalk and distortion.

The newly designed high-performance sample clock technology, SynchroLock 2, provides an astounding 300,000:1 jitter reduction, 5-second lock time, and extremely high accuracy. With one word clock input and three outputs via BNC connectors, it's ideal as a master clock for small systems. Despite its compact, single-rack-space design, the AURORA(n)'s modular architecture offers excellent expandability. Optional LSlot cards allow for interface changes to Thunderbolt, DANTE, ProTools|HD, USB, and more. In addition, you can expand the channel count up to 32 by adding analog I/O modules in 8-channel increments, as well as digital I/O modules, mic preamp modules, and more. ■Specifications:
