ML-2 MODELING MICROPHONE
The ML-2 is the second generation of Slate Digital's virtual microphone. This small-diaphragm microphone, combined with software, accurately reproduces the sound color, dynamics, and tone of various microphone models.

Like the ML-1, the ML-2 microphone itself is designed as a noiseless, ultra-linear, and intentionally uncolored blank canvas.

In developing the ML-2, Slate Digital tested a variety of microphones, but found that trying multiple microphones in the same environment could result in some being too loud and distorting. Therefore, the ML-2 features a dynamic switch that deliberately attenuates the microphone's output. This allows you to mic drums, guitar cabinets, and other situations where dynamic microphones are typically used, without overloading or unwanted saturation.

The ML-2 can be used in combination with the Slate Digital VMR (Virtual Mix Rack) microphone module ""Virtual Instrument"" to create a variety of microphone models.
The virtual instrument includes the following 18 models.
