Voltage fluctuates constantly due to fluctuations in power consumption and various other factors. Equipment cannot perform to its full potential with such an unstable power supply. This unit stabilizes the output voltage to 120VAC. Designed specifically for music applications, it provides clean AC power in a variety of situations.
This unit uses an 8-tap toroidal autotransformer, which minimizes magnetic flux leakage and, thanks to its high efficiency, allows for a compact design.
This unit's voltage stabilization circuit accurately monitors the input voltage cycle by cycle. If the input voltage fluctuates and a different tap is selected, it compensates on a cycle-by-cycle basis without distorting the waveform of the incoming AC power.
Conventional voltage stabilizers that use multiple taps often change taps irregularly, resulting in voltage spikes and clicks that can be mixed into the audio signal.
In addition, the hysteresis characteristics of this unit's switching circuit suppress unnecessary switching to adjacent taps, which can cause chatter. Unlike other stabilized power supplies that use ferroresonant transformers, this unit does not overreact to slight fluctuations in power supply frequency, creating an ideal power supply.
■ Voltage Stabilization
Stabilizes voltages between 97 VAC and 141 VAC to 120 VAC (±5V). This protects sensitive equipment from problems caused by unstable AC power, such as voltage drops and surges. Unstable power can cause changes in tone, data loss in digital equipment, and, in the worst case, equipment failure.
■ Noise Filter
This is a standard noise filter circuit. It reduces noise caused by RFI (radio frequency interference) and EMI (electromagnetic interference).
■ Surge Filter
This protects equipment from sudden high voltage surges. This is a standard surge protection circuit using a component called an MOV.
■ Abnormal Voltage Protection
If it detects abnormal fluctuations in the power supply voltage, it will shut down, protecting connected equipment from damage.
■ Current Protection
If it detects an overcurrent, it will cut off the power, protecting connected equipment.
■ 9 Outlets
There are eight outlets on the rear and one on the front. All outlets can be used interchangeably.
■ Circuit Breaker
This is a 15A circuit breaker that activates in the event of an overcurrent. The breaker trips if the total usage capacity exceeds the limit. Resetting is easy, with just the push of a switch. There is no need to carry a fuse.
