●In 2018, to commemorate the 135th anniversary of Gretsch's founding (1883-2018), a limited edition snare drum was released, with only 135 units produced worldwide. Only 8 units are available in Japan.
The ""G4160-A135"" from the USA Custom Series, made in the USA, is a 5x14-inch snare drum with a solid aluminum shell and full hand engraving by master engraver Eric Sooy, who has engraved numerous drums. The hoop is a new 301 single flange hoop, and the mechanism that increases the tension of the mini claw hook brings out a more open tone and extended sustain. The shell thickness is approximately 3 mm for the shell and reinforcement, and approximately 2 mm for the reinforcement only.
It also comes with a deluxe carry bag befitting a limited edition model, with a white Gretsch 135th anniversary logo on the shoulder pad.
