■8-channel ""high fidelity"" microphone preamp
The m801mk2 is the culmination of GRACE design's ""mic preamps that capture all of the performance"" that it has been refining for over 25 years.
While inheriting all of the highly acclaimed designs such as the beautiful board design that is completely independent for each of the 8 channels, the elaborate metal film resistors, gold contacts, and the elimination of electrolytic capacitors, the circuit design has been refined to pursue even greater heights. Many advances have been made, such as improved noise performance at low gain, improved low-frequency phase response, thorough measures against electromagnetic noise such as RFI/EMI and Wi-Fi, and clean power supply for DC power supplies.
As a result, the frequency response has achieved the ultimate flat and wide response of 3.2Hz-530kHz (± 3dB)*. You can capture all of the performance there and record a sound with breathtaking depth and power.
GRACE design's first 8-channel microphone preamp, the ""MODEL801,"" was released in 1994. The MODEL 801, which is based on a thorough design philosophy that places the utmost importance on musical sound and does not compromise on anything, such as a completely independent board design for each channel, precise metal film resistors, gold contacts, and the elimination of electrolytic capacitors, is still in use in studios around the world as the most expressive microphone preamplifier even now, more than 25 years later.
12 years later, in order to respond to the ever-evolving improvement of digital sound quality, the ""m801"" was released, equipped with an even expanded frequency response, excellent signal path, ribbon microphone mode, etc. And now, the ultimate microphone preamplifier ""m801 mk2"" has been released, with an eye on the completely next-generation.
