This cable acts like an effects pedal, producing changes in sound quality as an ""effect."" By only partially curling the cable, it achieves the distinctive sound of a coiled cable while maintaining the dynamic range of a straight cable. This produces a distinctive coiled sound that cannot be achieved by amplifier equalization.
