Golden Age Project's ""COMP-3A Jr"" is a compressor/leveling amplifier that reproduces the legendary vintage ""LA-3A"". It condenses the essentials of the higher-end COMP-3A model, and stores it in a compact ""Jr size"" while maintaining the same sound.
COMP-3A Jr uses a gain control circuit that uses a classic optocoupler to reproduce the unique compression sound of the original machine. The vintage-style signal path that has not changed since then reproduces the sound of the LA-3A that many engineers and musicians love.

The signal path of the ""COMP-3A Jr"" uses only discrete components such as resistors, capacitors, diodes, and transistors, and the input and output are designed with a transformer balance that is optimized for each. The classic circuit design that does not use any IC circuits determines the sound quality of this unit. The musical vintage sound of the COMP-3A Jr can provide a sound quality that is valued especially in the current heyday of digital recording.
