The ZOOM Handy Recorder H3-VR is equipped with an Ambisonics VR microphone that can pick up sound from all directions, including up, down, and depth, in addition to the conventional left and right. Ambisonics recording captures sound in its entirety in 360 degrees, enabling a variety of uses unique to VR, such as rotating the sound image or playing stereo sound from a specific direction where a sound source, such as an instrument or a person's voice, is desired.
