A typical drum machine can input rhythm patterns, but BeatBuddy is specialized as a performance tool, so you cannot input them on the main unit. Instead, you can transfer rhythm patterns created with DAW software to the main unit by using the free editing software ""BeatBuddyManager"" (compatible with Mac / Win). Each kit supports MIDI GM (General MIDI) drum maps. The shape and size are almost the same as an effect pedal. It is possible to output without compromising the original sound even when connected to the end of the effect chain.
