■Software Sound Source/Synthesizer

UVX-3P is a software synthesizer inspired by a six-voice Japanese synthesizer first released in 1983. The underlying synth was produced by one of Japan's three leading synth manufacturers, and its design focuses on selecting and playing the traditional Japanese synth sounds that have been cultivated up to that point, rather than focusing on sound creation.

The UVX-3P project began with a complete restoration of the original instrument. UVI's sound designers then pushed its hidden potential, charm, and quality to the limits to realize this sound source. Retaining all of the synth's versatility and texture, from shimmering basses to striking analog leads and lush, expansive pads... all of these were sampled and created into patches. In addition to the easy-to-use dry sound, we also included a version with the distinctive built-in chorus. The UVX-3P also brings the texture found only in the original hardware... With over 6,700 samples and 160 preset libraries, you can faithfully recreate the sounds of early '80s Japanese analog synths on your desktop.
