The TASCAM DR-05 VER2-JJ is a versatile 24-bit/96kHz handheld recorder. It features a Japanese version of the previous model, the DR-05 VER2-J, for even easier operation. Equipped with an omnidirectional stereo condenser microphone that allows recording anywhere, it delivers high-quality sound with simple operation. It's ideal for a wide range of situations, including music, natural environmental sounds, and interviews.

The DR-05 is equipped with an A-B omnidirectional stereo microphone unit. This omnidirectional type captures sound evenly from all directions, making it less susceptible to placement or orientation. Even without specialized recording setup knowledge, you can capture immersive sound.
The microphone unit is designed to withstand 125dB SPL, equivalent to 10 times the volume of a typical movie theater (105dB SPL), ensuring distortion-free recording of even rock band concerts.
Designed for smooth, high-quality recording, even for first-time recorders, the DR-05 is equipped with various automated functions. In particular, the peak detection function automates input level settings. It detects excessive input levels and automatically reduces them, automatically adjusting to the optimal level for recording. Unlike typical auto-level functions, the volume does not fluctuate, allowing you to preserve the performer's expressive volume when recording music.
It also has a wide range of playback functions, including loop playback and a VSA function that varies the playback speed without changing the pitch. It can also be used for recording lectures and language learning. For musicians, it also comes with a reverb effect that adds resonance to the sound, and an overdubbing function that allows you to layer new recordings over existing sound sources. It's a powerful tool for practice and music production.
The Japanese menu and Japanese panel make operation even more intuitive.
