The TUSQ XL series maintains accurate tuning for longer than any other synthetic resin nut, such as graphite or plastic. It also produces a crystal-clear tone and ultimately improves sustain. The fact that TUSQ XL is used by guitar manufacturers worldwide is a testament to its reliability.
When the string vibrates, TUSQ XL releases Teflon micromolecules. These molecules coat the TUSQ XL, minimizing string friction and reducing tuning drift. These Teflon molecules are released from the nut, so they never disappear or get lost, and their lubricating effect is always maintained.
