The PQL-1000-00 is a TUSQ XL nut for Fender-type guitars. It features a blank, flat-bottom design with no slots. The TUSQ XL releases Teflon micromolecules as the string vibrates, minimizing string friction and minimizing tuning drift. This results in crystal-clear tone and improved sustain.

The TUSQ XL series maintains correct tuning for longer than any other synthetic resin nut, such as graphite or plastic. It also produces a crystal-clear tone, resulting in improved sustain. The fact that TUSQ XL is used by guitar manufacturers worldwide is proof of its reliability.
When the string vibrates, TUSQ XL releases micro-molecules of Teflon. These molecules coat the TUSQ XL, minimizing string friction and reducing tuning drift. Because these Teflon molecules are released from the nut, they never dissipate and remain effective as a lubricant.
