GRACE DESIGN / m108

The m108 is equipped with 8 channels of high-quality, clear microphone preamps, and its 24-bit/192kHz AD converters (AES, ADAT, USB) allow it to function as a simple 8x2 USB interface with the highest sound quality and as a digital mixer.

■Microphone Preamp, 8 Channels, 1U
With 8 transparent channels of microphone preamps that perfectly convey musical resonance, a high-precision AD converter that converts all spatial information into 100% digital signals, multiple digital output formats, and flexible operability including remote control, the m108 offers high-end performance in a 1U rack-mount enclosure that can accommodate any environment or need.

■Unrivaled Performance
The m108 successfully incorporates the design concept of the high-end m802 remote microphone preamp into an elegant 1U enclosure. Its transformerless circuitry and current feedback gain design enable the delicate and deep expression that GRACE design is known for. Furthermore, the standard GRACE-quality AD converter converts the signal to digital while maintaining 100% of its original sound integrity. Furthermore, the asynchronous mode USB interface allows connection to a computer environment with the best jitter performance.

■Simple Operation
The m108 features a rotary encoder that doubles as a push button, enabling smooth navigation and operation. Direct access buttons for 48V, phase, channel group, and meter peak reset are provided on the panel. The highly visible OLED screen efficiently displays system information such as channel gain settings, meters, peak status, interface mixer, and setup menus. The well-thought-out menu design, combined with thorough simplicity of operation, further enhances its value as a professional tool.

■Powerful Operation
In addition to its use as a standalone mic preamp/ADC, the m108 can also be controlled remotely from the m802RCU (sold separately), via MIDI from host systems such as Pro Tools, and via a dedicated m108 PC utility (currently under development). A 64-channel remote mic preamp system can be built using eight m108 units (including systems incorporating legacy m802s). Optional DANTE network audio functionality is available, allowing the m108 to function as the core system for a wide range of audio applications.
