Modeled after API's acclaimed console-based 325 booster card, the 535 features input and output amplification and attenuation for versatile flexibility. It delivers the warm, tonal sound of API.

The 535-LA also provides coloration and level control for audio playback devices, mic preamps, or audio processors that don't have their own level controls. The 535-LA features a balanced input, phase reverse switch, 20dB pad, and a three-position toggle switch, allowing for variable output gain levels from the transformer. Like the 325 booster card, it's designed to drive balanced signals over long distances with low distortion. The output gain range is 6dB to 45dB. The 535 utilizes discrete 2510 and 2520 op amps, along with API's proprietary transformers, to produce the unique, warm, and reliable sound API users expect.
