The Z-Glide Reduced Friction Neck
A revolutionary change in the guitar neck... Designed to allow for smoother position changes while playing, it reduces the sticky feeling that can be associated with gloss finishes.
This neck was conceived by Dean Zelinsky himself. The intricately engraved patterns on the back of the neck reduce the surface area that comes into contact with the palm of the hand, creating an air gap between the player's palm and the neck. The neck is also designed to trap sweat and moisture, preventing excessive moisture buildup at the back. The result is a neck with no snags, smooth position changes, and a superior feel.

Dean Zelinsky: Founder of Dean Guitars. Currently heads the Dean Zelinsky brand. From the 1970s to the present, Zelinsky's groundbreaking and innovative designs have been embraced by top guitarists around the world.

Among the many guitar manufacturers, only a handful have top guitar craftsmen who actually lay out a blank canvas to design the guitar, hand-carve the body, shape the neck, and paint the body... Zelinsky began mastering guitar making and repair techniques as a teenager, and founded Dean Guitars in 1976 at the age of 19. He had a profound influence on the rock scene and rock guitarists of the 1980s.


Today, Zelinsky continues to create guitars under his own brand, ""Dean Zelinsky,"" skillfully combining tradition with ingenuity. These instruments truly embody Zelinsky's 36 years of accumulated experience. With original and groundbreaking concepts like the ""Z-Glide"" neck and the ultra-thin single-cutaway Zenyatta, Zelinski has once again expanded the functional and design possibilities of the guitar.
