The long-awaited Thunderbolt connection model has arrived for the UAD-2, a software and hardware system that allows you to use vintage outboard effect plug-ins with minimal load on the computer itself. As Thunderbolt is increasingly the standard for Macintosh computer interfaces, the UAD-2 SATELLITE THUNDERBOLT, offering easy connectivity and high-speed data transfer, is a new option for UAD-2 and a key component in any music production system.
UAD-2 plug-ins thoroughly analyze and emulate the actual instruments, from legendary outboard gear that is now hard to find to the latest popular outboard gear, at the circuit level. The sound quality is recognized by the designers of the original analog equipment, and the devices are licensed by various manufacturers. Available in several variations based on the number of DPS chips and the included software, you can choose the product that's best suited to your needs, from home studios to professional recording and mastering studios.

Choose from two levels of DSP power: QUAD (4 SHARC processors) or OCTO (8 SHARC processors). Additionally, choose from CORE, CUSTOM, or ULTIMATE depending on the included plug-ins.
