IK MULTIMEDIA / iRig Pads is a compact pad controller with 16 velocity-sensitive pads, MIDI-assignable sliders, two knobs and a push-button rotary encoder.

iRig Pads is designed for use anywhere, from home, studio, school, hotel, to airplane or train tray tables. At approximately 20cm in length and width, smaller than an iPad and just 2.3cm thick, it's easy to carry in a bag.

Includes a Lightning cable for connecting to your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, and a USB cable for connecting to your Mac/Windows computer, so you can connect and use it right away without having to purchase a separate USB camera adapter. It's bus-powered.

An optional 30-pin cable is available for users of older generations of iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.

At the heart of iRig Pads is a 4 x 4 grid of 16 velocity-sensitive pads, familiar to beatmakers. Each pad features a velocity-dependent backlight that changes from red to orange to green, providing a comfortable rubber feel and expressive performance. iRig Pads also features assignable MIDI control sliders, two knobs, a rotary encoder with a push button, and a jack for an expression pedal/footswitch. These allow for continuous MIDI control of parameters like pitch and filter. Pad assignments can be saved and recalled as 16 ""scenes.""

Beat Creation

iRig Pads' 16 pads, arranged in a 4x4 grid, are ideal for creating beats on the go. Registering your iRig Pads includes a free download of SampleTank 4 SE for Mac/PC, a 64-bit AAX/AU/VST compatible sound and groove workstation. A 6.5GB library of 400 instruments and 150 MIDI patterns easily combines with iRig Pads to create the ideal production workstation.
