PHXのコンセプトを受け継ぐハイブリッドシェル

最上位機種「PHX」シリーズから受け継いだハイブリッドシェル構造を採用。芯材には高い強度を誇るアフリカ原産のウェンジ材を使用し、その両側にメイプル材を配しています。メイプルの明るく温もりのあるサウンドと、ウェンジの硬質で重厚なサウンドをブレンドすることで、中音域から低音域にかけて幅広いダイナミックレンジを実現しました。ピアニッシモからフォルテッシモまで、ドラムプレイを明瞭に表現します。
また、ベアリングエッジを45°／R1.5の鈍角形状に設定することで、低音域が強調された、深みのある力強いトーンを生み出します。

ハイテンションチューニングにも対応可能なラグ

迅速かつ容易なヘッド交換を可能にし、ハイテンションチューニングにも正確に対応するフックラグを採用しています。シェルとの接地面積を最小限に抑えることで、シェル本来の鳴りを最大限に引き出します。

ハイカーボンスティールスネア&2.7mmスネアベッド

力強い響きを生み出す25本タイプのスネアワイヤーを標準装備しています。従来よりも深い2.7mmのスネアベッドと組み合わせることで、より繊細なニュアンス表現を可能にしました。

3.0mmアルミダイカストフープ

力強い鳴りと独特のアタック、ディケイ感を生み出すダイカストフープを採用しています。歯切れの良いリムショットを求めるドラマーにも最適です。

■Hybrid Maple Shell
The hybrid shell structure is inherited from Yamaha's flagship drums, the PHX Series. The shell's central core is made of strong African wenge wood, sandwiched between two layers of maple. This hybrid structure enhances the bright, warm sound characteristic of maple with a hard, rich sound, achieving a wide dynamic range from the midrange to the bass. Absolute Hybrid Maple clearly expresses the sound the drummer is looking for, from pianissimo (pp) to fortissimo (ff).

■Hook Lug
All shells are equipped with hook lugs. This allows for quick and easy head changes, while also ensuring durability and accurate tuning for high-tension tuning. The lug base is designed to minimize the contact area, maximizing the shell's resonance.

■Newly Developed Strainer
The newly designed strainer is highly durable and provides high stability even when the snare (sounding wire) is turned on and off during performance.

■2.7mm Snare Bed
The 2.7mm snare bed is deeper than the conventional 1.8mm snare bed, accurately capturing the response of the snare (sounding wire) and accurately responding to the player's desired subtle nuances.

■High-Carbon Steel Snare
Uses a high-carbon 25-strand short snare (sounding wire). It produces a powerful resonance.

■Aluminum Die-Cast Hoop
3.0mm aluminum/10-hole design. Unique attack and decay. Powerful resonance and tasteful tone. Crisp rim shots.

スタッフレビュー

Absoluteシリーズのスネアドラム「AMS1460」の大きな特徴は、やはりシェルの材構成です。シェル材として定番の乾いた明るいサウンドを得ることができるメイプルの間に硬いウエンジを挟み込むことにより、明るいメイプルらしい倍音かつ引き締まったサウンドを実現しています。シェルのエッジには角度の浅い45°/R1.5を採用し、低域の効いた迫力のあるサウンドを叩き出すことができ、叩いていて心地よさを感じることができるモデルです。
