■Hybrid Maple Shell
This hybrid shell structure is inherited from Yamaha's flagship PHX Series drums. The shell's central core is made of durable African wenge wood, sandwiched between two layers of maple. This hybrid structure enhances the bright, warm sound of maple with a firmer, more powerful tone, achieving a wide dynamic range from the midrange to the bass. Absolute Hybrid Maple delivers the exact sound a drummer desires, from pianissimo (pp) to fortissimo (ff).

■Hook Lugs
All shells are equipped with hook lugs. This allows for quick and easy head changes, while also providing durability and accurate tuning for high-tension tuning. The lug base is designed to minimize the contact area, maximizing shell resonance.

■YESS III Shell Mount System
The ""Y.E.S.S. II-m"" model is an evolution of Yamaha's original tom mount system, the Y.E.S.S. (Yamaha Enhanced Sustain System). This model features the new, evolved ""Y.E.S.S. III"" tom mount system. The resin plate minimizes interference with the shell resonance, resulting in natural, extended sustain.

■Newly Designed Tom Holder Base
Equipped with a newly designed tom holder base that is lightweight and has a reduced contact area. This maximizes the resonance of the bass drum shell.

■Bearing Edge Shape
To optimally control the overall tone of the drum set, the bass drum, floor tom, tom-toms, and snare each feature a unique bearing edge shape. The floor tom, tom-toms, and snare drums feature an edge shape of 45°/R1.5*. The bass drum features a sharper edge shape of 30°/R1.5, resulting in a deep, powerful bass sound.

■Vent Hole
Vent holes (air holes) allow air to escape from inside the shell, which is an important factor in determining the feel of the drum. The number and placement of vent holes has been optimized for each shell size to control the attack time and sustain length.

■Interior shell finish: Vintage natural finish
The interior shell finish is vintage natural, improving appearance and optimizing sound control.
