The theremin, one of the oldest electronic instruments, has been revived to suit the modern musical environment!

The theremin is one of the oldest electronic musical instruments, widely known for being ""played without touch."" Pitch and volume are controlled by moving your hand through the air toward two antennas. Like the larger Ethervox, the Etherwave is a modern revival of Lev Theremin's original theremin.

The Moog Etherwave retains the original theremin's distinctive features, such as its five-octave range, ample space between pitches, and the ability to play with subtle nuances. It's truly a playable instrument. The antennas are made of nickel-plated 3/8-inch brass tubing, and the cabinet is crafted from high-quality hardwood suitable for furniture. It also comes with an adapter that can be attached to a standard microphone stand, allowing it to be connected to an instrument amplifier such as the Moog TB-15.

PITCH: Rotary knob: Adjusts the response of the pitch antenna.
VOLUME: Rotary knob: Adjusts the response of the volume antenna.
WAVEFORM: Rotary knob: Adjusts the output waveform (tone) of this unit.
BRIGHTNESS: Rotary knob: Adjusts the brightness of the sound.
POWER INPUT: Connect the plug of the dedicated AC adapter here.
Antenna connector: The antenna can be removed when transporting the unit.

Etherwave Theremin

念願だったアナログのEtherwave Theremin を、購入しました。
開封後、蓋を開けて、内部の点検をした後、早速、ツマミ類をセンター付近にセットをして、演奏したら、感動です、やっぱり、私の好きな、アナログの音には、癒されます。
調整無しで、テルミニと同様に、直ぐに演奏が出来て、音階もスムーズです。
現在、使用中のテルミニは、最近、夏バテ気味で、時々、不調で、テルミンの予備機としての購入です。
初代のテルミニは、2016年に、並行輸入業者からの購入でしたが、開封後暫くして、トラブルが発生し、返品返金まで、話が、進みましたが、電気エンジニアである私の教材として、引き取りました。
その後、MoogのHPよりﾌｧｰﾑｴｪｱを入手して、入替えたら、復活しました。
それから、練習を重ねて、二年目からは、人前で、多数の曲が演奏が出来るようになり、現在のジャンルは、琉球音楽・古い日本歌謡・外国の曲少々で、数十曲以上を演奏可能です。
主に、福祉施設での慰問演奏をソロで30分～1時間の演奏ボランティアに使用しています。
テルミンの演奏が難しいと言うのは、皆さんが、youtube等で洗脳されているのが、理由です。
テルミンはカラオケが歌える聴力と音感があれば、誰でも簡単に演奏が出来る、楽しくて面白い電子楽器です。
何よりも、聞いている人達に癒しを、与えられる唯一の楽器の一つだと思います。
セミプロ以上の演奏家には、もちろん、etherwaveが、おすすめです。
テルミニ（Theremini）は、小型のシンセサイザーが内蔵されいるので、シンセに関心がある人と私みたいに貧乏人にも演奏が出きる、コストパフォーマンスの素晴らしい電子楽器です。
テルミニはパソコンで内部のファイルを編集することで、色々な音色を、作成する事が出来ます。
今回の購入は、10年以上も前から利用している、サウンドハウスさんから購入することに決めした。
以前は、音響エンジニアでしたが、現在は、琉球伝統楽器とテルミンの演奏者として、ボランティア演奏活動をしています。
輸入業者は、エンジニア等に弱点がある、店もありますが、サウンドハウスさんは、エンジニア達も揃っていますので、安心して、購入が出来ます。
毎回、丁寧な対応に感謝しています。
