FOCUSRITE / RedNet 6

RedNet 6 is a bridge I/O for incorporating MADI format into a RedNet system. It can convert up to 64 channels (at 48KHz) of MADI (AES10) signals to the Dante standard. Each input and output is equipped with a sample rate conversion (ASRC) function, which can absorb digital clock discrepancies even when multiple devices are connected. ■Audio Interface

In addition to providing both optical and BNC MADI input and output connectors, RedNet 6 also features word clock input and output (BNC connectors) for clock synchronization with external devices. With these features, RedNet 6 acts as a bridge, integrating MADI hardware solutions such as digital mixing consoles and PCI cards into RedNet systems that use the Dante protocol.


・MADI to RedNet, RedNet to MADI
RedNet 6 seamlessly connects RedNet systems to MADI systems on the same network. For example, you can use RedNet to connect to mixing consoles and MADI for other audio I/O. It can also act as a bridge to incorporate RedNet's high-quality AD/DA converters into MADI systems to expand existing MADI systems.

・Both coaxial and optical connectors
RedNet 6 features both coaxial and optical MADI connectors, allowing for seamless connection to existing MADI systems.

- Equipped with external word clock input/output terminals
Clock master can be set to either the RedNet system or the MADI system

- Up to 64 input/output channels
RedNet 6 can handle up to 64 simultaneous inputs and outputs when used at 48kHz or 44.1kHz, 32 inputs and outputs at 96kHz, and 16 inputs and outputs at 192kHz.

- Equipped with sample rate converters
RedNet 6 is equipped with sample rate converters on its inputs and outputs, allowing you to set different sample rates for both MADI and RedNet.

- Remote control from a networked PC
The dedicated software ""RedNet Control"" allows you to freely route RedNet on the network. This allows you to remotely control units installed in distant locations.

■What is RedNet?

RedNet is Focusrite's all-new professional audio interface. Focusrite hardware, featuring Dante, the next-generation multi-channel audio transmission standard, offers flexible system design and high reliability, delivering the quality required for live PA, installation sound, and recording systems.

RedNet can handle up to 256 inputs and outputs of digital audio using standard IP-based Ethernet devices. It can be used in standalone systems or in conjunction with Dante protocol-compatible products from many partner companies. This makes it suitable for systems in live PA, broadcast stations, and recording studios, as well as installation sound systems such as conference systems and in-building public address systems. RedNet can be built using low-latency PCIe cards or virtual sound cards*, and can also be connected to ProTools HD/HDX/HD Native systems and MADI systems. *Latency depends on your system environment and sampling rate settings.
