FOCUSRITE / RedNet 6

RedNet 6 is a bridge I / O for incorporating the MADI format into RedNet systems. MADI (AES10) signals of up to 64 channels (at 48KHz) can be converted to Dante standards. Each input and output is equipped with a sample rate conversion (ASRC) function, so even if multiple devices are connected, the digital clock can be absorbed.

■ Audio interface

MADI's input / output terminals are equipped with both optical and BNC, and word clock input / output (BNC terminal) that enables clock synchronization with external devices. With these features, RedNet 6 acts as a bridge to integrate MADI hardware solutions such as digital mixing consoles and PCI cards into RedNet systems employing the Dante protocol.
 
・ From MADI to RedNet, from RedNet to MADI
RedNet 6 allows you to seamlessly connect your RedNet system to the MADI system as the same network. RedNet can be used to connect to the mixing console, and MADI can be used for other audio I / O. It also acts as a bridge to extend existing MADI systems by incorporating RedNet's high-quality AD / DA converters into the MADI system.

RedNet 6 is equipped with both coaxial and optical MADI terminals, and can be connected to existing MADI systems without any problems.

・ Equipped with external word clock input / output terminal
Clock master can be set to either RedNet system or MADI system

・ Up to 64 input / output channels
RedNet 6 can handle up to 64 inputs / outputs simultaneously when used at 48KHz or 44.1KHz, 32 inputs / outputs at 96KHz, and 16 inputs / outputs at 192KH.

・ Equipped with sample rate converter
RedNet 6 has a sample rate converter on the input and output, so you can set different sample rates for both MADI and RedNet.

・ Remote control from PC on network
Using the dedicated software "RedNet Control", you can freely route RedNet on the network. This allows remote units to be remotely controlled.

■ What is RedNet?
RedNet is Focusrite's brand new professional audio interface. Focusrite's hardware, which adopts the new generation transmission standard "Dante" for multi-channel audio, has free system design and high reliability, has the quality required for live PA, equipment sound and recording systems.
RedNet can handle up to 256 inputs and outputs of digital audio using common IP-based Ethernet devices. It can be used in combination with many partner companies' products that support the Dante protocol as well as stand-alone system design.
