RedNet 4 adds eight Focusrite mic preamps and line inputs to the RedNet system and two instrument (DI) inputs. The mic preamplifier has been newly designed for RedNet while retaining the sound of Focusrite's reputation. Including a clear, wide-range preamplifier, input source selection, gain control, phantom power and high-pass filter on / off can all be remotely controlled over the network.
■ Audio interface
RedNet 4, equipped with Focusrite's world-class converter, not only adds a high-definition analog input interface to the network system, but also controls the unit next to the stage on the PA side and the unit in the recording room from the control room. It also helps to minimize cable routing.

■ What is RedNet?
RedNet is Focusrite's brand new professional audio interface. Focusrite's hardware, which adopts the new generation transmission standard "Dante" for multi-channel audio, has free system design and high reliability, has the quality required for live PA, equipment sound and recording systems.
RedNet can handle up to 256 inputs and outputs of digital audio using common IP-based Ethernet devices. It can be used in combination with many partner companies' products that support the Dante protocol as well as stand-alone system design. This not only supports system construction in live PAs, broadcast stations, and recording studios, but also supports equipment sounds such as conference systems and building broadcast systems.
RedNet can be configured with a low-latency PCIe card or virtual sound card *, and can also be connected to ProTools HD / HDX / HD Native systems and MADI systems.
* Latency depends on your system environment and sampling rate settings.
