■Audio Interface
Equipped with Focusrite's high-quality 24-bit AD and DA converters, RedNet 1 supports sampling rates up to 192 kHz and delivers a dynamic range of 119 dB. The rear-panel D-sub 25 connectors allow connection to an analog patch bay or connector box.
RedNet 1 is a converter that delivers 8 channels of audio with near-zero latency. There are three ways to connect RedNet 1 to your computer:
- Use with Core Audio and ASIO-compatible applications such as DigitalPerformer, Logic, and Nuendo using the RedNet PCIe card.
- Use with Pro Tools HD, Pro Tools HDX, and Pro Tools HD Native using the RedNet 5 DigiLink connector.
- Use with Core Audio and ASIO-compatible applications using your computer's Ethernet connector and standard cables (and the ""Dante Virtual Soundcard"")
■What is RedNet?
RedNet is Focusrite's all-new professional audio interface. Featuring the next-generation Dante standard for multi-channel audio transmission, Focusrite's hardware offers flexible system design and high reliability, delivering the quality required for live PA, installation sound, and recording systems.
RedNet can handle up to 256 inputs and outputs of digital audio using standard IP-based Ethernet devices. It can be used in standalone systems or in conjunction with Dante-compatible products from numerous partner companies. This makes it suitable for live PA, broadcast stations, and recording studios, as well as conference systems and in-building public address systems.
RedNet can be built using a low-latency PCIe card or virtual sound card*, and can also connect to ProTools HD/HDX/HD Native systems and MADI systems.
*Latency depends on your system environment and sampling rate settings.
