The DW Design Series drum kits feature HVLT shells with a slightly thicker 1/32"" single-ply shell, producing a punchy sound with a distinctive low-mid range. They also incorporate the latest DW technologies, such as DW's familiar true-pitch tension rods, magnetic throw-off, and SMT suspension tom mounts.

■HVLT Shell (Horizontal + Vertical Low Timber)
The custom shell is made of shell plies with a vertical grain, and the outer shell uses a horizontal grain to create a punchy sound with a distinctive low-mid range.

■True Pitch Tension Rod
The tuning bolts have a finer thread groove than regular tuning bolts, allowing for more accurate tuning.
