This is an API500 compatible 2-band parametric equalizer equipped with AIR BAND.

The maag audio EQ2 is a single-channel, two-band equalizer featuring API 500 format ""AIR BAND"" (2.5kHz-40kHz shelf boost). In addition to the acclaimed AIR BAND EQ, it features a frequency-selectable LMF (Low Mid Frequency) boost and a -12.5dB input attenuator, making it a no-compromise design.

The EQ2's AIR BAND selectable frequency band now includes a 15kHz band, a range not previously available on the company's EQ4 and PREQ4. Controlling this special frequency band allows you to effectively use the EQ2 in any situation.
The LMF (Low Mid Frequency) offers two bell curves, narrow and wide, adding a pleasant warmth to your mix.

For recording, even when connected after a fully driven preamp, you can maximize the effects of the AIR BAND and LMF by adjusting the EQ2's input attenuator to an appropriate level for EQ. It will be the perfect partner for any microphone preamp.

Continuing the tradition of the acclaimed 6-band equalizer EQ4, the EQ2 delivers unparalleled transparency and top-end presence. The EQ2 further expands the engineer's field of vision by adding a 15 kHz point to the AIRBAND.

Phase changes due to equalization are minimized, and click-type controls on all knobs, including the input attenuator, allow for perfect reproduction of settings.
