■Unique Features of the Nord Lead 4
・Impulse Morphing
Impulse Morphing is a performance feature that allows you to instantly change multiple parameter settings using the Impulse Morph button. Instantly double the LFO rate, switch oscillator waveforms, enable Glide (Portamento), suddenly increase resonance, or instantly cut reverb—all with a single button. Perfectly synced wobble basses and complex gating pads are also possible, and setup is incredibly easy. Impulse Morphing's simple yet versatile application allows for even greater creative possibilities during performance.
Setting up the Impulse Morphing feature is incredibly simple. Simply hold down the Impulse Morph button and move the knob or switch of the parameter you want to change to the desired setting. Any parameter with an LED near the knob or button (which means almost all parameters) can be controlled with Impulse Morphing. There are also three Impulse Morph buttons for control, and by combining these three you can create up to seven different types of impulse morphing for each slot.

- Morphing function using the modulation wheel and velocity
A traditional Nord morphing function is this one, which allows you to control tone parameters with the modulation wheel or velocity. This allows you to control continuously variable knob-type parameters with the modulation wheel, control pedal, or velocity. For example, you can use the modulation wheel to change the octave range of an arpeggio or the sample rate of a crash effect.
