■ Features: The M80's greatest feature is its newly designed low-mass voice coil, ultra-thin Mylar diaphragm, and custom output transformer from AMI/TAB-Funkenwerk. This newly designed diaphragm efficiently converts signals to electrical signals without altering the tone lost with previous heavy diaphragms and voice coils. The AMI/TAB-Funkenwerk output transformer also delivers the distinctive warmth and presence of good old-fashioned analog audio.
The proximity effect in the low frequencies is well controlled, making this an excellent microphone recommended for recording vocals as well as drums and bass.
