A summing mixer that packs SSL sound into a 2U rack and supports 32-channel inputs.
■DAW Automation Control Summing Engine
Sigma is the one and only DAW automation controlled SuperAnalogue summing engine.
Sigma is a new concept in summing engines, mixing with DAW automation in SSL's SuperAnalogue sound quality, using MDACs for analog level control, exactly like Duality, AWS, and other studio consoles have. The analog level control using MDAC is exactly the same as that found in studio consoles such as Duality and AWS. Fader automation data created in your DAW can be used to control Sigma's MDAC and mix down tracks in a 100% analog environment. It has 16 flexible channel inputs (up to 32 inputs) that can be individually switched to mono or stereo, and incorporates accurate LED meter readings for all channels. 2 stereo busses each have their own dedicated output and individual stereo insert point, and each channel has a direct out. The two stereo busses each have their own dedicated output and separate stereo insert point, and each channel also incorporates a direct out. Mix Bus B can also be integrated into Mix Bus A for final mixing.
The monitor section incorporates a headphone out for artist monitors and a monitor out for studio monitors. The monitor outputs incorporate a main and alternate set of two monitor sets. The monitor source can be switched by selecting the matrix with the front panel switch. A pot on the front panel allows independent level control by switching between Mix A, Mix B, Monitor Out, and Headphone Out. It also incorporates a talkback input (line level) and a level-adjustable monitor dim.
Functions such as monitor level, monitor source switching, insert, talkback, B to A summing, and mono check can be operated from the general control panel via MIDI. A quick MIDI learn function allows for efficient setup, and the front panel's The Sigma can be connected to a PC via ipMIDI for easy and flexible access to an even wider range of functions and settings, regardless of platform.
