The M82 is an end-address dynamic microphone with two independent EQ switches designed specifically for kick drums, but can also be used with a variety of sound sources, including vocals, percussion, broadcast sound, guitar and bass amplifiers, organs, and brass instruments.

・KICK EQ
The KICK EQ switch uses a passive filter to cut a portion of the low-mid frequencies centered around 350Hz when processing kick drums, emphasizing the low end while preserving the ""boxy"" sound. It is specifically tuned as a kick drum EQ.
・HI BOOST
The HI BOOST switch boosts the upper midrange and high frequencies from 2 to 10kHz by 6dB, giving the kick drum a beater attack. This switch means the M82 can be used with both vintage-style kick drums and more modern styles.
When used with sources such as vocals or guitar amps, it emphasizes the airiness of the high frequencies.

Two independent EQ switches, ""KICK EQ"" and ""HIGH BOOST,"" allow you to tailor your sound.
These two EQ switches function independently, but when used in combination they offer a total of four unique settings to easily provide the response you desire.
