Originally from Puerto Rico, he is based on Latin music but also has a knack for flamenco rhythms. His theory incorporates ideas from percussionist Efraín Toro, and the uniquely shaped box cajon increases in volume as the bottom is struck, making it easy to create dynamics and more expressive.
