The ""Brooklyn"" series is named after the Gretsch drum that was first made in Brooklyn, New York in 1883. Based on Gretsch's signature USA CUSTOM series, this series features a 6-ply maple and poplar shell with a vintage sound in mind. The 3mm double-flange hoops also give the drums a distinctive open sound, creating a slightly different sound from the USA CUSTOM.
