The RG's built-in sequencer lets you create classic rhythm guitar grooves, but you can also use its synthesizer functions and effects to create entirely new, cutting-edge guitar grooves. When creating grooves, the RG uses ""major chord"" and ""minor chord"" keyboard layouts. Each layout offers two sequence pattern options (A or B).

-Distortion Type for distorted power chords
-""Mute Low"" and ""Mute High"" for creating single-note muted guitar grooves. Unlike other types, this does not include chords. A classic muted groove is a playing pattern of ghost note downstroke followed by ghost note upstroke.

Sequencer Section
- Controls stroke and RG synthesizer parts

- Each step features ON/OFF, tie, down/up/ghost/glide/extra stroke, velocity, and free/release.
- Velocity control knob allows you to adjust the mix between MIDI keyboard velocity input and step velocity settings.
