The Focusrite ISA series dates back to 1985. It originated in George Martin requesting legendary console designer Rupert Neve to design a new module for the console at the AIR Montserrat studio. A similar request came from AIR Studios in London because the module ISA110 produced was so good. These original modules are the basis of today's Focusrite ISA series. Focusrite ISA Two combines two independent modules of the mic preamplifier from the original ISA 110 module into a single unit, with the best traditional solid-state electronics and Rupert Nieve himself. Consists of a specially designated original input transformer Lundahl LL1538. "Two" is a very versatile number for recording vocals and musical instruments and recording piano stereo. Even if you only need two mic pres, their construction and parts must be the best. If more channels are needed, ISA 428 Mk II (4 channels) and ISA 828 (8 channels) models are also available.
ISA Two is a dual mono channel microphone preamplifier that inherits the preamplifier of the popular ISA 110 as a classic vintage machine that was the channel module of Focusrite's historic mixing console "Forte".
The two microphone preamplifiers are equipped with inputs that can be used as DI for musical instruments and balanced line inputs, and can be used in a wide range of applications from personal recording to stages.

Traditional microphone preamplifier and variable input impedance
ISA Two's microphone preamplifier is equipped with a preamplifier using an ISA traditional transformer. The sound and functions that inherit the preamplifier technology of the popular ISA 110 are attractive.
ISA One is equipped with a variable impedance circuit that allows you to change the impedance setting. In addition to the original ISA 110 impedance, a total of four impedances can be set for the microphone. This function solves the compatibility problem due to the difference in impedance characteristics between the microphone and the preamplifier. From low price to high end, from modern to vintage, ISA Two does not choose a microphone.
ISA Two boasts a 80dB wide range and low noise for a clear sound. The high gain input is sufficient for low output microphones such as ribbon microphones.
DI and line input
ISA Two is equipped with a line input and a DI (instrument) input that can be connected directly to an electric guitar or bass, in addition to the microphone preamplifier. The sound of Focusrite pre connected to the input terminal of the front panel is attractive with a transparent and clean sound.
In addition, the rear panel is equipped with a balanced line input, and a microphone, instrument, and line input can be switched with a single switch.
Balance insert input/output
ISA Two is equipped with balanced insert inputs and outputs, allowing you to connect processors such as external EQs and compressors. One insert point on / off switch.
Variable high-pass filter
ISA Two is equipped with an 18dB / oct, variable cutoff frequency filter. This allows you to cut unwanted low frequencies and adjust the low frequencies when recording.
